WARRANTY POLICY

  1. Limited Warranty Coverage

Cafe Bistro (Pvt) Ltd warrants that products purchased through our official online store

are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal domestic use for the applicable warranty period, as stated on the relevant product page, starting from the date of original retail purchase.

Paid or extended warranties are currently not supported.

  1. Consumable Products

If the Product or any part of the Product is classified as a consumable item (for example, filters, seals, cartridges, or similar components), this limited warranty becomes null and void once the consumable part has been used, consumed, or exhausted.

  1. Warranty Remedies

During the warranty period, if a defect arises and you follow our return or service instructions, Cafe Bistro (Pvt) Ltd, at its sole discretion, will take one of the following actions:

  1. Repair the Product using new or refurbished parts; or
  2. Replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product of the same or similar model; or
  3. Refund the original purchase price of the Product.

There is no guarantee that a replacement Product will be identical in appearance, specifications, or functionality. Due to product availability or technological changes, a replacement Product may have a lower retail price than the original Product. Product comparability will be determined solely by Cafe Bistro (Pvt) Ltd.

  1. Warranty Eligibility & Limitations

This limited warranty applies only to hardware components of the Product and does not apply to Products that have been damaged due to:

  • Accident, misuse, or neglect
  • Fire, liquid damage, or external causes
  • Unauthorized alteration, modification, or repair
  • Commercial or industrial use

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

  1. Warranty Period for Repairs & Replacements

Any repaired or replacement Product or part is covered for:

  • The remaining portion of the original warranty period, or
  • 90 days from the date of shipment to you,
    whichever period is longer.

All returned Products or parts that are replaced or refunded become the property of Cafe Bistro (Pvt) Ltd upon receipt.

  1. Additional Warranty Terms

6.1 Free Warranty Coverage

The warranty covers functional or performance failures occurring under normal usage conditions.

A valid proof of purchase from https://cafebistro.lk/shop (invoice or order record) is required to claim warranty service.

6.2 Non-Warranty Cases

The following are not covered under warranty:

Exterior Parts & Accessories

  • Coffee Machines:
    Casing, panels, wooden components, water tanks and lids, portafilters, tampers, decorative or protective parts.
  • Grinders:
    Casing, panels, bean hoppers and lids, decorative or protective parts.

General Exclusions

  • Normal wear and tear (scratches, discoloration, fading, deformation)
  • Damage caused by poor water quality
  • Damage due to misuse, accidental drops, impacts, pressure, or negligence
  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly
  • Improper cleaning or maintenance contrary to user instructions
  • Use of non-original or unauthorized accessories or spare parts

For the above non-warranty cases, authorized service providers may offer paid repair or replacement services.

If a functional defect occurs during the warranty period and is not related to the excluded items above, free repair or replacement will be provided in accordance with this policy.

  1. How to Obtain Warranty Service

To request warranty service, please contact us via the Contact Us section on our website.

Our customer service team will:

  1. Verify your proof of purchase
  2. Assess your eligibility under this warranty
  3. Issue a repair order, replacement order, or refund approval
  4. Provide instructions for returning the defective Product or part

Failure to return the defective Product or part may result in you being charged the full retail price of the replacement.

If a replacement or repair is approved, Cafe Bistro (Pvt) Ltd will bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement Product to you.

  1. Further Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this limited warranty and the remedies described above are exclusive and replace all other warranties or remedies.

We expressly disclaim all implied or statutory warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties against hidden or latent defects

Where such disclaimers are not permitted by law, implied warranties shall be limited in duration to the term of this limited warranty and limited to repair or replacement only.

Cafe Bistro (Pvt) Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Product or any breach of warranty.

  1. Legal Rights

This limited warranty grants you specific legal rights. You may also have additional rights under applicable laws in Sri Lanka. Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory consumer rights.
